| Baptism:
Normally occurs on a Saturday afternoon, though it may be held on other days.

A team of four lay catechists undertake the baptism
preparation. Confirmation:
Occurs once a year. The age of candidates should be 14
by the time they are confirmed.
First Communion:
If your child is aged 7 years or older, they are eligible to be enrolled in
our parish First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion programme
(provided they are baptised Catholic and attend
Mass regularly at St James’s).

Marriage:
St. James is an ideal and beautiful setting for a
marriage. The church
seats 120 people and bookings need to be made 6 months
in advance. Please note that when a couple has gone through
a Civil Ceremony, the church can validate their
marriage.
RCIA: Adults
can be received into the church through a programme called
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. Adults can enter the church
at Easter time.
Sacrament of Penance:
Confession is on Saturday between 9.45 am to 10.45 am. |
